Harvest

Potentially large crop required thinning of fruit in the vineyard, with outstanding results.

Winemaking

Our Sangiovese is made to age for 20–30 years in your cellar. Of course, there are some vintage-to-vintage variations to this recommendation. Wine should be stored horizontally at 55–57 degrees.

Aging

Our production experience with Sangiovese is somewhat limited but we feel it should parallel merlot. Historically, Italian Sangiovese of good structure can age 20 years or longer.

New French and American Oak combined for 15 months.
