Nose
A deep, brooding nose reveals black fruits, rose petals, and a penetrating mix of other floral notes with perfectly ripe sweet fruit,
blackberries, and plums. Secondary notes of vanilla cream, toasty French oak, earth, minerals, and tobacco reveal themselves with time in the glass.
Palate
The mouthfeel is wonderfully dense, with ripe chalky tannins and a seamless, persistent finish. A wonderfully complex wine that will
undoubtedly evolve and offer drinking pleasure for the next two decades or more.
Winemaking
2003 represents a milestone in that it is the 4th consecutive year we have deemed the vintage worthy of producing Reserve. We feel we
have produced a monumental wine and trust you will agree.
Aging
Aged in new French and custom coopered American oak barrels for 22 months.
Appearance
This wine has a beautiful and deeply saturated purplish-red hue.
