Nose

With Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1973, the 2012 Symphony is layered with aromatics of dark fruit, tobacco, herbs and graphite on the nose.

Palate

Fresh and lively this elegant wine boasts great structure offering deep black cherry, blackcurrant, leather and espresso notes throughout the palate.

Growing Conditions

2012 Symphony, our Bordeaux blend is made from 70% Cabernet Sauvignon from Upland Vineyard (Old Block), 25% Merlot from Les Collines Vineyard (Block 15) and 5% Cabernet Franc from Canyons Vineyard. The fruit is selected from exceptional vineyards in the Snipes Mountain, Red Mountain, and Walla Walla Valley appellations.

Harvest

Grapes were hand picked and hand sorted into stainless steel tanks during the late evening hours of October 12th and 18th of 2012.

Bottling

Bottling date August 7th 2014.

Winemaking

During fermentation, 2 times a day, gentle pump-overs and punch-downs were applied.

Aging

The wine was aged in 50% new, fine grain, oak barrels from French cooper Sylvain. Wine barrels were topped every two weeks.
