Nose

Concentrated aromatics of lush blackcurrant, graphite, dark cocoa powder and baking spices.

Palate

The dense flavors and balanced tannins integrate beautifully for an extended, layered finish.

Harvest

Grapes were hand picked and hand sorted into stainless steel tanks during the late evening hours of October 10th 2014.

Bottling

August 30th 2016.

Winemaking

During fermentation, 2 times a day, gentle pump-overs and punch-downs were applied.

Aging

The wine was aged in 50% new, oak barrels from French cooper Sylvain for 18 months. Wine barrels were topped every two weeks.

Appearance

An opaque, inky color.
