Nose
Black cherry, dusty rose, blueberry and thyme.
Palate
The heat and soil yielded our most fruit-forward vintage yet, with 2015 Titan delivering a full-bodied, layered and structured experience with a lingering finish. Lush blueberry and black cherry with fine grain tannins and a full finish.
Growing Conditions
The 2015 growing season had no fewer than 25 days of 95-plus degree heat during the hottest summer months and very little rain. This resulted in small clusters and berry sizes with concentrated and intensified flavors and aromas.
Harvest
We returned for a third year to the same source vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA and retained access to their 15-year-old vines for our Dijon 777 and 115 clones. For this vintage, we sourced our Pommard clone from a younger site adjacent to the 15-year-old vines. Both sites feature Willakenzie marine sedimentary soil rising from 460 to 520 feet in elevation.
