Nose

Intense, young wild strawberry, fresh watermelon leaf, rose petal, pink lemonade.

Palate

Full-bodied, savory Rosé features evenly balanced acid and fruit, making it equally suitable for enjoying with or without food. Sexy, savory, lush texture, strawberry, watermelon, white pepper, cranberry relish, orange rind and a well-balanced, dry finish.

Growing Conditions

The growing season for our second estate vintage was characterized by consistent warm, dry days and cool nights, resulting in rich fruit flavor, balanced structure, and deep color development from our 5-year old Pinot noir vines.

Harvest

We harvested four tons of fruit from the Pommard and Dijon 667 clones—the first plantings in our estate vineyard—grafted on 3309 rootstock and established in volcanic Jory soil. Our vineyard rises from 420 to 630 feet in elevation; these two blocks are situated at approximately 550 feet.
