A compelling nose of Christmas spices, cassis, and fresh saddle leather.
The palate is dominated by dense flavors of blueberries and red cherries. It is richly textured, almost decadent, with refined, mouth- coating tannins, and incredibly fresh acidity.
The Illusionist offers old-school, classic notes of crème de cassis, violets, and tobacco. It’s medium to full-bodied, has considerable elegant, ripe tannins, and good acidity.
The 2017 Illusionist Cabernet Sauvignon represents our best barrels of Cabernet in the cellar. This year's blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot comes exclusively from our Estate vineyard blocks.
