Nose

A rich nose of chocolate-covered dark cherry and black raspberry plays with fun herbal notes.

Palate

The palate brings clean brightness at first taste, with the dark fruits from the nose quickly taking hold. The tannins are slightly more assertive than our previous Merlot releases, but ease into balance with a little aeration, and the wine progresses into a persistent and pleasing finish tinged with notes of mocha.

Winemaking

Block 33E at Seven Hills Vineyard once again forms the backbone of this wine, and in 2020 the overall character of this wine tends to be darker and slightly more brooding than previous incarnations.
