Our second iteration of a Phinny-designated Cab exceeds the first, with stunning, classical Cabernet notes on the nose — red currant, cherry, leather, and delicate herbs with just a hint of barrel sweetness. On the palate it’s elegant, pure, powerful but nuanced, with lush, polished tannins on the front, mid, and back palate, all offset with fresh, pretty acidity. Layers of fruit, herb, tannin, and minerality persist through a long, lingering finish. This is what Cabernet Sauvignon can and should be in Washington state.
