Nose

Vibrant aromas of black raspberry, purple plum, French roast coffee, and
Chambord on the nose.

Palate

The palate shows notes of blackberry, black plum, ripe
raspberry and currant leading into rocks minerality and baking spice balanced
upon bright acidity.

Growing Conditions

• Estate Eidolon Vineyard, ‘Rocks District of Milton Freewater’, Walla Walla Valley

• A very consistent vintage very similar to 2013
• Bud break started in early-mid April with bloom in early June again slightly
early for Washington
• August temperatures were slightly cooler allowing for a longer hang-time
with good yields
• Consistent September with cool nights produced richly structured wines,
ripe flavors that retained high natural acids

Harvest

• Hand-harvested grapes

Bottling

• Bottling date: May 10, 2016

Winemaking

• Small lot fermentations in open top stainless steel tanks
• The cap was manually punched down twice a day
• Pressed and transferred to barrels to complete secondary fermentation

Aging

• The wine was aged for 16 months in French Oak barrels
