● Estate Eidolon Vineyard, ‘Rocks District’ Walla Walla Valley
● Summit View Vineyard, Walla Walla Valley
● A very similar vintage to 2013
● Bud-break started in early-mid April with bloom in early June, slightly
early for Washington
● Cooler than average temperatures continued allowing fruit to ripen
gradually, leading to lower sugars and higher natural acidity.
Harvest
● Hand harvested grapes
Bottling
● Cross flow filtration prior to bottling
● Bottling date: Mat 2, 2016
Winemaking
● Open top fermentation
● Small lot fermentations in stainless steel tanks
● The cap was manually punched down twice a day
Aging
● The wine was aged for 16 months in French Oak barrels, 25% of which
were new
