Nose

Opens with notes of blackberry cobbler, cherry, and rhubarb giving way to baking spice, anise, and ‘Rocks District’ earth notes.

Palate

The palate showcases ripe currants and blackberry with graphite and sweet tobacco leading into a ripe tannin finish.

Harvest

Hand-harvested grapes picked early in the morning.

Aging

Small lot fermentations in stainless steel tanks. The cap was manually punched down twice a day. The wine was blended and aged for 22 months in French Oak barrels. Crossflow filtration prior to bottling.
