Nose

Aromas of caramelized Asian pear, pineapple
and kiwi fruit.

Palate

Rich flavors of Meyer lemon and
Granny Smith apple pie are complemented by
delicate mineral notes on the palate. The lush
and creamy mouthfeel is balanced with a crisp
acidity, leading to a lingering finish.

Growing Conditions

The 2016 vintage was characterized by a warm
spring followed by a cool spell in early June and
again in September, enabling the grapes to maintain
their natural acidity as they reached phenolic
ripeness.

Winemaking

This luscious Chardonnay was made
using all of the traditional techniques—whole
cluster pressing, minimal oxygen exposure, barrel
fermentation and aging sur lie. The fruit for our Estate Chardonnay was grown
in the Menozzi Vineyard that surrounds our home.
Our cooler climate higher elevation sight along
with sur lie aging has produced a rich and beautifully
balanced Chardonnay with crisp acidity,

Aging

The wine was aged
for 11 months in a combination of new and neutral
French oak barrels prior to bottling.

Appearance

The wine displays a crystal clear straw-gold color.
