Nose
The Wallula Cabernet Sauvignon is focused and pure with aromas of red currant, minerals, iron, vanilla, and perfumed lactone.
Palate
The mouth feel is smooth and focused with flavors of red and black currants, minerals, and vanilla. The Cabernet Sauvignon is tightly wound and focused and will age gracefully.
Winemaking
The 2017 Walllula Vineyard Cabernet is a blend of clone 7 (the Napa Clone), clone 33 (191) (the new darling CS clone in Washington), and clone 412 (a savory, dark, intense clone from Bordeaux). 2017 is our first and limited bottling from our block we had planted in 2014.
