Nose
Our 2011 Merlot is dense with a powerful nose of red cherry, black cherry and blackcurrants.
Palate
Sophisticated and multidimensional on the palate with perfectly ripe raspberries, silky tannins and vibrant acidity making the wine exquisitely balanced.
Growing Conditions
This 100% single vineyard Merlot is from Block 2 in Les Collines Vineyard.
Harvest
Grapes were hand picked and hand sorted into stainless steel tanks during the early morning hours of October 20th 2011.
Bottling
Bottling date September 20th 2013.
Winemaking
During fermentation, 2 times a day, gentle pump-overs and punch-downs were applied.
Aging
The wine was aged 21 months in 50% new French, fine grain, oak barrels from cooper Ermitage. Wine barrels were topped every two weeks.
