Nose
The 2016 Viognier has dominate aromas of honey-suckle, jasmine, and a hint of orange blossom.
Palate
Dominate flavors of stone fruit, peach, and apricot dominate the palate with a nice spicy finishing touch. Also noticeable is the full body with a slight oily or viscous mouth feel that makes this wine memorable.
Winemaking
The 2016 grapes for the viognier were whole bunch pressed, in a reductive style. The wine was fermented in stainless steel and neutral oak barrels to round out the mouthfeel and balance.
Food Pairing
Our viognier works perfectly with Dungeness crab, grilled or broiled fish, and any butter or cream pasta dishes.
