Nose

The nose opens up with blackberry and black cherry fruit layered with pipe tobacco, cedar spice, saddle leather and wet quartz minerality.

Palate

In the mouth, flavors of grape and blackberry continue into a blend of dark fruit and spice. The tannins are full-bodied but smooth and supple and lend weight to the long generous finish.

Growing Conditions

The 2009 vintage is a dark, fruit driven wine with aroma and flavor expression typical of high quality Eastern Washington Malbecs.
