Growing Conditions

In 2012 we saw a long, warm summer followed by cool, crisp nights in the fall that brought forth exceptional ripening conditions during harvest. The result was stellar yields with tremendous quality, which gave us the opportunity to take a step back and let the fruit do the work.


Once again, our Double River Merlot stood out with tons of personality and showed great promise at crush time. “Old World” techniques and natural practices were used to craft this estate-grown Merlot.


It aged in our best French oak barrels. After 22 months, the best barrels were selected and blended
