The much warmer and abundant harvest of 2012 gave us the opportunity to select the best block of Cabernet Sauvignon for this estate bottling. The diversity of Block 9 and its distinct terroir deliver exciting and strong nuances in this exclusive offering of Cabernet.
Vineyards: Double River Vineyard
Winemaking
Small, ripe and intense berries were handled with special care in the cellar to reveal the real taste and flavor profile of this particular block. In the late Spring of 2014 the barrels with the most character and complexity were chosen for this blend.
Aging
The powerful notes and rich qualities in the wine set the perfect tone for elegance and balance during the 22 months of French oak barrel aging.
