Palate
Red & black fruits on the palate.
Growing Conditions
Source vineyards: Alder Ridge Vineyard (Horse Heaven Hills) & 24K Vineyard (Wahluke Slope) - Grenache; Lonesome Spring Ranch Vineyard (Yakima Valley) - Syrah; Heart of the Hill Vineyard (Red Mountain) - Mourvedre.
Bottling
No fining took place and the wine was filtered through a coarse pad to remove the lees.
Winemaking
The wine was made by gently crushing and de-stemming the clusters directly into bins without the use of a must pump. Fermentation was completed using commercial yeasts and then the wine was pressed into 4-5 year old French 225L barrels and tanks where ML took place.
Aging
The wine was aged for approximately 2O months before bottling.
Food Pairing
This blend is a versatile wine that can be paired with most light meats, but would be ideal with cassoulet.
