Growing Conditions

Our only Bordeaux inspired blend, although only using Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in this vintage. Is meant to showcase the perfume and textures that our vineyard consistently produces across all our red wines.

Bottled Jan 2018 unfined and unfiltered.

Winemaking

Using a clone of Merlot (181) meant more for secondary notes of scorched earth, floral potpourri and dark berries with great volume and plush textures rather than the typical Washington Merlot made mainly from Clone 3 which displays a firmer more present tannin and more new world fruit. Paired with Clone 6 Cabernet that displays more mocha and bay leaf with good volume and a finer tannin keeping this Cuvee fresh, perfumed and stylishly drinkable. Fermented in a combination of concrete tanks and barrels.

Aging

Aged for 26 months in 30% new French oak 500L’s.
